Your tasks

As a Working Student Software Engineering & DevOps at SCOUTASTIC, you'll work alongside our experienced team to advance our scouting platform. Our software is used by over 130 professional football clubs worldwide – and we're currently expanding into other sports. You'll use the latest technologies and learn something new every day.

  • Backend Development: You develop features for our backend – API design, data modelling and integration of external data sources.
  • DevOps & Automation: You support with Docker, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and drive process automation.
  • Agentic Engineering: You leverage modern AI development tools (Claude Code etc.) to scale your output and learn how agent-driven development works in practice.
  • Testing & Monitoring: You help ensure software quality through testing and monitor production systems.

Your profile

  • You are studying computer science or a related field (master's or advanced bachelor's programme).
  • You have already gained practical programming experience through projects.
  • Tech stack: Initial experience with Node.js and/or Python. Knowledge of REST APIs is a plus.
  • DevOps interest: You're enthusiastic about Docker, CI/CD and cloud technologies and want to deepen your skills here.
  • AI tooling: You're excited about AI-powered developer tools and eager to learn how to critically evaluate their output.
  • Builder mindset: You're a problem solver who gets hands-on and just makes things happen.
  • Reliability: You keep an eye on deadlines and deliver on time.
  • A passion for sports – especially football – and data is not a requirement, but a clear bonus.
